The new USD logo (605 Magazine September Cover Story)

I had the pleasure of shooting the cover story for the September 605 magazine.  The University of South Dakota has a new logo and the shoot took a Madmen 60's direction.  This was a really fun shoot, everyone involved did a great job.  Natalie is the girl at the desk who was the account manager on the Lawrence & Schiller team that designed it and Joe is the "logo police," the man in charge of implementing the new logo on campus and elsewhere.  This post doesn't even do the whole shoot justice.  Check out the new issue for the full experience. A special thanks to Angelique of Platinum Imagination for Natalie's hair and makeup, well done.

605 Magazine Shoot - We All Have Hooks For Hands

It's always fun to get a shoot that is out of the ordinary and last month we had an awesome time shooting the local band, We All Have Hooks For Hands.  These guys were great to work with and got very creative blowing up about a hundred balloons, creating an awesome back drop, and firing up a smoke machine. Add the fact that they were throwing around bags of confetti and the garage we shot in flooded right before the shoot...  it made for an hour of great creativity. This shoot was for the cover article of 605 Magazine for April and should give the band some momentum for their album release party on April 15th at the Orpheum Theater for "Girls."  Hooks for Hands are a local Indie-Rock band, these guys are talented... the kind that makes me proud to live in Sioux Falls kind of talented and I hope to see them make it big.
