Happy New Year!! {2014}

2014 is going to be good-

Happily recounting 2013, makes us smile. We smile thinking of good things like: our health, our incredible support system of friends & family (really, we have the bestest set of people in our lives), travel, being able to wake up and do something that inspires us every day, food, warm shelter, and our cuddly dogs. We are so thankful for the countless experiences and friendships this past year that have allowed us to grow and become stronger, better people.

2014 we anticipate to be another wonderful year. We look forward to crossing paths with new and familiar faces, our amazing lineup of weddings & sweet couples, spending more time surrounding ourselves with those we love, seeking out positives in situations (even when it seems impossible), doing what makes us the happiest and to taking on exciting challenges that the year may have in store for us. We wish you all a happy and fruitful 2014.

Cheers to another incredible year!

Hola! {Spanish Getaway}

Our 5 year wedding anniversary trip was a complete success! We can't say enough about how much we love exploring new cultures and Spain hit the spot. Dividing our time between Barcelona and several coastal towns along The Costa Brava, we enjoyed sightseeing, AMAZING tapas, delicious sangria, perfect 80 degree-windless weather and the complete relaxation of being on vacay.

Our top 3 favs of the trip:

3.) La Sagrada Familia- When we think "Spanish Architecture", this is it! This GINORMOUS Roman Catholic church in Barcelona was designed by Antoni Gaudi and is a UNESCO world heritage site. The intricate Gothic exterior is beyond words and the clean, gorgeous interior is stunning!

2.) Tapas- No trip is complete in our world without eating multiple times a day. Not even sorry about it. Not even embarrassed. Did we mention we love to eat? We spent hours at La Boqueria Market roaming one of Europe's biggest & freshest outdoor markets. We didn't have a single bad meal. Jamon, olives,patatas bravas, fresh seafood and anchovies in vinegar were some of our favs. We took notes from Anthony Bourdain and can happily report that all of his recommendations were some of our best meals. Thanks, Tony!

1.) The Costa Brava- Obsessed! We rented a car for a few days to drive along the breathtaking Mediterranean coast. Stopping wherever/whenever we wanted taking in different towns; Old medieval towns of Girona & Pals and beach villages L'Escala, L'Estartit, Villasar de Mar and our ultimate favorite...Tossa de Mar. (There are people in this world who live in mansions. With infinity pools. On the cliffs of Costa Brava. That overlook the Mediterranean...seriously?!) We couldn't get enough of the crystal clear, aqua & sea green waters. Snorkeling and swimming was our absolute favorite thing! :)

To many more years of happy marriage! Xoxo,

Val + Jeff
